Wrong-Way Driver Arrested For DUI With 3-Year-Old In Vehicle
An impaired woman with a 3-year-old passenger drove the wrong way on an I-10 offramp at Elliot Road in Phoenix was arrested on DUI charges.
PHOENIX, AZ — Early Friday, police arrested a female driver on DUI charges after she drove the wrong way on an I-10 eastbound offramp at Elliot Road in Phoenix and hit another vehicle at the ramp’s top after correcting her direction. The incident occurred about 1 a.m., with a 3-year-old passenger in the wrong-way vehicle. The child was submitted to the father thanks to the Department of Child Safety.
No injuries resulted from the collision, but the wrong-way driver, when arrested, informed officers of an open surgical wound from a recent medical procedure. Consequently, she hasn’t been booked into jail. Read the full story at azcentral.com.
