• Hamburger Hill Veteran Finally Receives Bronze Star (military.com) — An Army veteran living in Arizona finally received his long-delayed Bronze Star during a ceremony hosted by Honoring/Hiring/Helping Our Heroes of Pinal County. Surrounded by fellow Vietnam veterans at the HOHP office, he reflected on surviving Hamburger Hill, his decades-long wait for recognition, and the complicated feelings many veterans still carry about that war.
   

• Pinal County Attorney's Office isn't 1st Arizona police agency to join ICE's 287g task force (kjzz.org) — Pinal County residents should know their County Attorney’s Office has joined federal ICE-led violent-crime task forces under the controversial 287(g) program, allowing local help in enforcing immigration laws. The move echoes a past Phoenix Police agreement that was later suspended after legal challenges to Arizona’s SB 1070 immigration law.
