- The Scottsdale Fire Department has promoted six firefighters to captain. Blake Miller, Marc Hill, Brian Shedlock, Mike Orin, James Cashion, and Nick Pajic have been promoted to the rank of captain. The rank of captain is the highest on-scene responder rank. They will now direct operations during fire incidents while supervising station duties. (Daily Independent)
