The 24-year-old infielder is already hitting, lifting, and eyeing a return to the same Scottsdale fields where his medical ordeal began.

4. Cottonwood police recognizes two graduates (journalaz.com) — A regional leadership program hosted by Scottsdale Police brought together civilian staff from agencies across Arizona, including Cottonwood, Phoenix, Mesa, Surprise, Buckeye, and Scottsdale itself. Cottonwood’s Ely Bayne and Kelsey Jacobs have now graduated the Civilian Leadership Institute, a five‑month course sharpening communication, conflict management, and supervisory skills. Their department says the Scottsdale-based training will help them better serve their community.
