Here are the top three stories in Scottsdale today:
- The Scottsdale Airport will be using a $5.4 million federal grant to increase capacity. The airport has been experiencing capacity issues that have caused departure delays. A new aircraft runup ramp should relieve runway bottlenecks. The construction should be completed by the end of the year. (KTAR.com)
- Scottsdale Promenade sold for $180 million to a Delaware-formed LLC. The 581,611 square-foot center is located at the corner of Scottsdale Road and Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard. It is reportedly the largest property to be sold this year. It also attracted the highest price in 2022. (The Business Journals)
- Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell reports that her office is working to address the increase in catalytic converter thefts. The Phoenix Police Department has reportedly taken 690 reports through Feb. about stolen catalytic converters. The office is hosting an engraving event on Aug. 14 at Tempe Autoplex's Midas location between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to curb thefts. (Fox 10 Phoenix)
