Here are the top three stories today in Scottsdale:
- The Scottsdale Gallery Association will host its Gold Palette ArtWalks on Thursday, Jan. 12. The special event will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Scottsdale Arts District and will feature live artist demonstrations. The art event will also double as a fundraiser for the 100 Club of Arizona and Tunnels to Towers. (City Sun Times)
- The Arizona Rock 'n' Roll Marathon is coming to nearby Tempe this weekend on Jan. 14 and 15. The event will host five races over two days and will affect traffic in and around the Tempe area. (Daily Independent)
- Former state Chief Justice Ruth McGregor will lead an investigation into issues faced by some Maricopa County tabulators in last year's election. Around 70 of the county's 223 voting centers reported issues with reading completed ballots on Election Day. On Monday, the county clarified that the judge's probe was not given a deadline for completion. (KTAR.com)
