A decade of dedicated leadership

With more than a decade of experience, Dr. Friedman has established a notable career as a clinical psychologist specializing in treating eating disorders, body image issues, and self-harming behaviors among teenagers and young adults.

In 2025, she founded BraveFull Psychology, a practice dedicated to helping clients heal their relationships with themselves and their bodies. Practicing across Arizona, California, and New York, Dr. Friedman provides compassionate, evidence-based treatment, driven by the belief that no young person should have to navigate their struggles alone.

  • Certified Expertise – She is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) and currently serves as the Membership Chair for the Phoenix Chapter of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP).
  • Clinical Experience – Prior to founding BraveFull Psychology, Dr. Friedman spent ten years at Kaiser Permanente, advancing to become the regional eating-disorder specialist and leading a teen intensive outpatient program.
  • Academic Contribution – She also serves as an adjunct professor at Santa Clara University, where she teaches graduate students and helps train the next generation of mental health professionals.
  • Education – Dr. Friedman earned her Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University–San Francisco Bay.
