- The Scottsdale Police Department has formed a DUI task force for Jul. 1 through Jul. 4. The saturation patrol will be a joint effort between numerous law enforcement departments throughout the region. The goal of the task force is to remove impaired drivers from the roadway before residents are hurt. (Daily Independent)
- The OdySea Aquarium has announced that the beloved Giant Pacific Octopus, Tako, has entered her final stage of life. Tako has laid thousands of eggs in her aquarium exhibit. The phase can reportedly last up to a year but it usually lasts a couple of months. Unfortunately, her eggs are not fertilized — but she doesn't know that. (ABC15)
- Scottsdale Water is encouraging residents to be wary of at-home water usage. The concerns have been voiced due to a rising issue of water shortages and how municipalities can prepare for the future. Scottsdale Water is asking residents to use sustainable landscaping methods to ease water supply issues. (Daily Independent)
