- The Scottsdale Canal Convergence — Water + Art + Light celebrates its 10th anniversary this fall. The event is from Nov. 4 through Nov. 13 at the Scottsdale Waterfront. This free event will feature large public art pieces merged with augmented reality experiences. There will also be live music, dance performances, food trucks, and much more. - Scottsdale's Republican State Senator Michelle Ugenti-Rita is speaking out about the recently signed state budget. According to the senator, the budget is hiding about $2.3 billion in real spending. The hidden funds are being directly given to the state's Highway Fund through sales tax receipts. The unprecedented move is to allow the state to avoid giving back some federal aid money. Sen. Ugenti-Rita has called it a "shell game." (Daily Independent)
