- The Scottsdale school board has approved a $7,000 bonus for the Superintendent. The bonus is reportedly performance-based. Superintendent Scott Menzel will be receiving the bonus for his work during the 2021-2022 school year. (Daily Independent)

The efforts have included reducing fuels along certain roadways, deploying brush trucks, and performing inspections in construction areas. - The City of Scottsdale reminds residents that the use of fireworks near sensitive desert areas is illegal. Anyone caught discharging fireworks near these areas will be subject to substantial fines.
