Here are the top three stories today in Scottsdale:
- The Taste of Italy and Music Festival will be at the Scottsdale Water Front on Oct. 15 and Oct. 16. The event will be highlighting Italian culture with live music and various food vendors. The festival will begin at 11:00 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. General admission to the festival will be only $10 for a limited time. Click to get your tickets. (KTAR)
- A panel of experts spoke about Scottsdale's water future during the Sep. 22 Breakfast with the Mayor and Council. The panel included Scottsdale Water Resources Executive Director Brian Biesemeyer. The panel agreed that the Colorado River is over-allocated and facing diminishing supplies. Biesemeyer ensured the Scottsdale City Council last month that the Central Arizona Project could sustain growth through 2035. (Scottsdale.org)
- A Scottsdale couple battling cancer has completed their 75-day cross-country bike ride. The journey began in San Diego and ended in St. Augustine, Florida. Chuck Keels is a stage four prostate cancer survivor and Hannah Keels is currently battling stage four breast cancer. Chuck sustained a broken nose and a concussion on Day 56 of the 75-day journey. He still completed the journey, however. (ABC15.com)
