• Rec Centers of Sun City announces 2025 board election results (yourvalley.net) — Sun City residents now know who will help steer their recreation centers, as Jana Mapes and Chris Nettesheim have been elected to three-year terms on the RCSC board starting Jan. 1, 2026. They’ll be sworn in at the Dec. 18 board meeting at Sundial auditorium, with two additional directors to be appointed next year. 
• Fire chief joins fight to fix missing comma in AZ law that's forcing firefighters to fight for workers' comp (abc15.com) — Sun City’s fire chief is pushing to fix a small wording issue in Arizona law that’s making it harder for firefighters with certain cancers to get workers’ compensation. After a Sun City firefighter’s cancer claim was initially denied over a missing comma, state fire leaders and the department’s insurer now want lawmakers to clarify protections for firefighters statewide.
