It’s getting personal. Billboard spotted along I-10 & Elliot, ahead of @TUHSD_News meeting tonight where #COVID19 metrics and reopening schools is on the agenda. Tempe Union one of several still in virtual learning, following state’s guidance. pic.twitter.com/PBsDws5O8v

The school district's classes remain virtual. Tempe Union tried a hybrid learning model for a time until cases in the area spiked, forcing students and staff members to return home.
It is unclear who paid for the billboard. Becker Boards, which manages the board's advertising, did not immediately respond to Patch's request for comment.

Neither did the Tempe Union High School District. But TUHSD told Fox 10 in a statement that it hopes to bring students safely back into the classroom soon.
"At this point, we do believe that we will be able to bring students back safely, most likely four days a week, after Spring Break," the statement said. "Bringing students back is what we have been working on and planning for throughout the pandemic."
