Car Plows Into Bus Stop, Killing A Pedestrian: Tempe Police

TEMPE, AZ — A woman was killed Friday morning in Tempe when a car crashed into the bus stop where she was standing, according to Tempe Police.
The woman, who police did not identify, died at the scene, police said.
The crash happened around 5:30 a.m. Friday on Rural Road, just north of Warner Road.

Police said the car was headed south on Rural Road before it crossed all the southbound and northbound lanes and hit the woman at the bus stop. Police did not identify the man who was driving, but said he stayed at the scene and spoke with investigators.
