The new Drybar at the Watermark in Tempe is set to open Nov. 12.
TEMPE, AZ — Drybar's sixth location in the Valley is set to open next week.
Drybar, a blow dry bar focused only on blowouts, opened its first Phoenix-area location a decade ago in the Scottsdale Quarter, according to a news release.
Since then, local franchisee Amy Ross has opened four more Valley locations, with a new one at The Watermark in Tempe, 410 N. Scottsdale Road, to open to the public Nov. 12.

According to the Drybar website, "In its simplest form, a blowout is the art of drying hair after a wash to achieve a smooth and sleek look, style and feel -- no curling or flat iron involved!"
The blow dry bar offers a wide range of blowout styles with names like The Straight Up, The Manhattan, The Cosmo, Dirty Martini, Mai Tai and The Southern Comfort.

While local Drybar locations suffered lost revenue during the height of the pandemic, Ross managed to stay afloat, and now, to expand.
“This year we’re not only celebrating 10 years of Drybar shops in Arizona, but we’re also celebrating the triumph of opening another location after a challenging year,” Ross said in a news release. “I am thrilled to bring Drybar to Tempe, near the ASU campus which happens to be my alma mater.”
The new location, with 1,400 square feet of space will feature Drybar's signature style with, "custom Italian chairs, tufted fabric walls, marble bars with built-in phone docking stations, and flat screens featuring cult favorite chick flicks."
The bar also offers styling for groups, parties and weddings.
