Man, Toddler Killed In Wrong-Way Crash Overnight; 3 Hospitalized
The 2-year-old killed was unrestrained and the driver of the wrong-way car was a juvenile who police believe was under the influence.
TEMPE, AZ — A man and a 2-year-old are dead and three others were hospitalized with "serious injuries" after a wrong-way car crash overnight, Tempe police said.
Police say a juvenile driver was driving in the wrong direction of traffic with three passengers – the toddler, the child's mother and an adult man – when he collided with a car being driven by an adult woman, 12 News reported.
The accident took place along Price Road near Southern Avenue, ABC 15 reported, and police suspect the juvenile was under the influence.

The 2-year-old was unrestrained, according to 12 News, and the man killed was sitting in the car's front seat, ABC 15 said.
Police say the mother of the child, the juvenile driver and the female driver of the other car were all transported to the hospital with serious injuries, according to 12 News.
