Must Watch: Tempe Officers Replace Child's Stolen Gator Wagon

Tempe officers made a 4-year-old child's dreams come true last week, replacing his Gator wagon with a new one after the original was stolen.

That's because the 4-year-old Gerald Philbrook was gifted a new Gator-brand wagon, replacing the one of his that was stolen earlier this month, Tempe police said.

TEMPE, AZ — An unexpected gift from a group of Tempe police officers made one young resident very happy last week.

That's because the 4-year-old Gerald Philbrook was gifted a new Gator-brand wagon, replacing the one of his that was stolen earlier this month, the department said.

Cameras captured his reaction, which was one of pure joy in the truest sense, with Gerald gleefullly jumping into the green-and-yellow colored wagon after realizing what the officers were standing in front of.

The Gator was donated to Gerald after his father, Peter Philbrook, posted a message on Facebook about the theft.

In his post, Peter said he was saddened that someone would steal his son's Gator from the family's apartment home near Kyrene and West Grove Parkway in Tempe.

"I will sell whatever I can to come up with a reward if this is returned," Philbrook's post reads. "It's not worth much in dollars but the time spent with my son making this work is priceless. This was a project that me and my son spent months trying to get to work."
