Suspected Remains Of Missing Tempe Woman Found In Remote Area
Claudia Moreno's husband was arrested and her suspected remains were found 100 miles from Tempe, police said.

TEMPE, AZ — A Tempe man was arrested Saturday on suspicion of causing his wife's death, according to police.
Eugene Zamora was arrested and booked into the Tempe City Jail on suspicion of manslaughter, tampering with physical evidence, abandonment and concealment of a dead body and false reporting to law enforcement.
What police believe to be Claudia Moreno's remains were found in a remote area northwest of the Valley, around 100 miles away from Tempe. Police are waiting for analysis and confirmation that the remains belong to Moreno, police said. Police claim that Zamora directed them to the location of Moreno's suspected remains.

Police say that Zamora and Moreno had an argument at their Tempe apartment on Nov. 10 that turned physical when Zamora pushed Moreno, causing her to fall backward and fatally hit her head on the ledge of bathtub.
Police accuse Zamora of concealing Moreno's body inside their apartment for several days before dumping it in the area northwest of the Valley.

Moreno was last seen some time in early November. Zamora reported her missing Nov. 13, saying she disappeared after a child custody fight with her former spouse, police said.
