2 Boys Charged In Tucson Apartment Parking Lot Shooting

Two boys were charged in connection with a deadly shooting on Tucson's east side on July 14 that killed a 19-year-old, police said.

TUCSON, AZ — A pair of boys were charged Wednesday in connection with a fatal shooting in an apartment parking lot, Tucson police said.

Dean Ryan Marcischak, 19, was killed in the shooting, which occurred in the 8800 block of East Broadway Boulevard on July 14, according to police.

Brian Lann, 16, and a Samuel Salisbury Jones, 15, were charged with first-degree murder, in addition to other felony charges, police said.

Lann was also charged with attempted armed robbery, while Jones was charged with two counts of attempted armed robbery and felony probation violation, according to police.

If convicted of first-degree murder, both boys face a maximum sentence of life in prison, with or without the chance of parole, or the death penalty.

If convicted of attempted armed robbery, the boys face a maximum sentence of 3.7 years in prison.

Both boys are currently being held at Pima County Adult Detention Center. No bail information is available, as of Wednesday, afternoon.
