TUCSON, AZ — Spring is in the air. That means the weather is changing, and everyone is ready to have fun after hibernating all winter. Looking for something to do? We have the list for you.

To make this a one-stop shop, here are eight can't-miss activities in the Tucson area, organized right here in one place. Make the most of all that is offered this spring, and mark your calendar!

Tucson Spring Bucket List

  1. Celebrate and support endangered species at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum on May 14. Tickets required and may sell out soon.
  2. Hike, bike or giddyup on the Loop, a system of paved, shared-use paths and short segments of bike lanes that make a complete circuit of more than 53 miles.
    • Try a bike-share for an easy way to start biking more often.
  3. Tie your laces tight and bring plenty of water! Try one of these other places to take a hike, too: Saguaro National Park, Enchanted Hills Trails Park, Sabino Canyon and Catalina State Park.
  4. Volunteer and make a difference at the Pima Animal Care Center.
  5. Visit the Reid Park Zoo to see a whole host of interesting animals. Check the calendar for the next upcoming event.
  6. Tour with the Tucson Botanical Gardens on May 21 for its Sustainability Tour of Borderlands Brewery to taste test and hear about ways the brewery minimizes water and waste. Registration required.
  7. Cast your gaze upward at the Flandrau Science Center & Planetarium for exhibits, events and free tours of the night sky by volunteer astronomers at the observatory.
  8. Shop 'til you drop for both food and handmade goods while supporting the local community at the Heirloom Farmers Markets on Friday or Sunday.
