Celebrate Christmas At Canoa Ranch In Pima County

The historic ranch in Pima County will be dressed up in thousands of lights and decorations for the Christmas season.

PIMA COUNTY, AZ — Bring the whole family to historic Canoa Ranch to check out the big Christmas Tree, view the light display and see live musical performances.

The ranch will open to holiday revelers this Saturday and will have extended hours throughout December, according to a news release. The ranch will be open until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday through the end of the month, to give visitors a chance to see the thousands of holiday lights and decorations and to view the centerpiece: A 10-feet-tall Christmas tree. The ranch is located at 5375 S. I-19 Frontage Road in Green Valley, south of Tucson.

Volunteers decorated the ranch and the tree was donated by Friends of the Canoa Park.

The ranch's historic buildings will also be open during the extended hours.

Live musical performances by members of the Green Valley Concert Band and the Green Valley Community Chorus are planned for Dec. 4, Dec. 11 and Dec. 18.

Admission is free, but visitors are encouraged to bring canned food to leave under the tree to donate to the local food pantry.
