TUCSON, AZ — The city of Tucson's website was back up and running late Thursday morning after being out since Wednesday afternoon, the city announced.
The city has brought in a third party to investigate "unusual activity" in its systems, the city said in a news release.

Those outages will include the city website and its bill payment portals.
The initial outage took out the city's payment portals and its water billing system. This stopped the city from accepting electronic payments from customers or accessing customer information during the outage. Because of the outage, Tucson Water said it would suspend all shutoffs for customers who hadn't paid their bills until Tuesday, at the earliest.
