Cold In Store For Tucson With Temps 15 Degrees Below Normal

TUCSON, AZ — Tuesday was set to be a cold one in Tucson with highs expected to peak at around 15-20 degrees below normal for this time of year, according to the National Weather Service.
The high on Tuesday was expected at around 68 degrees in Tucson, with winds around 14 mph. The high temperature for Tuesday was around the same as Tucson's low just a week ago, the weather service said. An unseasonably chilly low was predicted for Tuesday night as well, bottoming out around 42 degrees, according to the weather service.
Strong winds moved through the Tucson area Monday night, with sustained winds of around 24 mph and gusts up to 36 mph, according to weather service records.

Wednesday is looking to be a little warmer with temperatures still well below normal, with an expected high of 74 degrees in Tucson and a low of 46. Things will start to heat back up Thursday with a high of 78.
Later in the week, temperatures will be closer to normal for this time of year, with a high of 83 Friday and a high of 88 degrees Saturday, the weather service predicted.
