Median Island Palm Tree Trimming To Restrict Traffic Lanes

There will be intermittent, rolling median travel lane closures as the contractor moves through the project areas.

July 13, 2021

BrightView Landscaping, under contract with the Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM) Streets Maintenance Division, will begin a palm tree trimming maintenance program for the next six weeks on palm trees in City median islands. There will be intermittent, rolling median travel lane closures as the contractor moves through the project areas. Crews will work from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday.

Work dates and trimming locations for the first two sections of roadways are:

Monday, July 12, 2021 through Friday, July 16, 2021 – Broadway from Country Club Road to Camino Seco.

Monday, July 19, 2021 through Wednesday, July 21, 2021 – Speedway Boulevard from Alvernon Way to Kolb Road.

The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances. The traveling public can expect delays when traveling in these work areas. Please obey all traffic control signs and watch for personnel and equipment in the work zone.
