Pima County Animal Shelter Offers Free Adoptions With Purchase

Animals at a Tucson-area shelter will have no adoption fee if owners opt to buy a "Take Me Home" kit for their new dogs or cats.

TUCSON, AZ — The Pima Animal Care Center is offering free pet adoptions with the purchase of a "Take Me Home" kit through the month of March.

Pima County residents hoping to adopt a new furry friend will get a $0 adoption fee when they buy a kit, which will vary by pet. For dogs, the kit will come with a collar and a leash; for cats, it will come with a carrier. The promotion will not include kittens or puppies.

“We love the idea of these kits,” Monica Dangler, Interim Director of Animal Services, said in a statement. “Our lobby store has everything you need to take your new pet or foster home.”
