Portillo's Is Coming To Tucson
The retro, Chicago-style hotdog chain just announced its plan to open its first Tucson location in El Con Center.

TUCSON, AZ — Tucsonans who crave a Chicago-style hotdog are in luck: Portillo's just announced its plan for its first location in Tucson.
The retro hotdog chain announced Tuesday its plans to open a restaurant in El Con Center, a major retail area near the intersection of East Broadway and North Dodge boulevards, near Target, Walmart and Home Depot.
Portillo's has plans for a restaurant with 7,800 square-feet of space in its classic vintage theme. The Tucson Portillo's is set to have a double drive-thru lane to help accommodate traffic in the area the University of Arizona and Davis Monthan Air Force Base.

Portillo's did not share when it plans to begin construction or an estimated open date.
Portillo's has four restaurants in the Phoenix metro area, in Glendale, Scottsdale, Avondale and Tempe. It recently announced plans to open another new location in Gilbert.
