Rainfall Totals For Tucson Area Vary Widely
Precipitation from recent showers and storms was less than an inch in most of Tucson and more than three inches in mountain areas.
TUCSON, AZ — Precipitation totals from recent showers and storms varied significantly from the city to the nearby mountains, according to the National Weather Service.
Totals in the valley in the 24 hours from Tuesday afternoon to Wednesday afternoon were generally between a quarter of an inch to 1 inch and totals in the mountains to the east and northeast were up to 4 inches, according to information from the weather service.
Total rainfall during that time period on Mount Lemmon was 3.46 inches while recorded precipitation at Randolph Park in Tucson during that time period was .46 inches, according to the Pima County Regional Flood Control District map.

Thursday is expected to be sunny with a high around 92 degrees and a low of 71, according to the weather service forecast.
