Serious Crash On W. Ajo Way In Tucson Injures 1: Police

Police described it as a "serious injury" crash and are asking drivers to avoid the area.

TUCSON, AZ — A serious crash near 1500 W. Ajo Way that left one person seriously injured is restricting traffic and caused a power outage, according to police.

A car crashed into a power pole just after 3 a.m. Thursday, according to police. One of the people in the car was taken to Banner University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries and the other was taken to the hospital as a precaution, police said.

Traffic is restricted between S. Valley Road west to S. Holiday Isle. Drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
