Showers, Wind Headed For Tucson: National Weather Service

Rain was possible Monday night in Tucson and likely on Tuesday. A red flag warning was set to expire Monday evening.

TUCSON, AZ — Tucson's red flag warning was set to expire at 8 p.m. Monday, with a 50 percent chance of showers on Monday night, according to the National Weather Service.

The weather service predicted patchy, blowing dust in Tucson after 3 p.m. Monday with a southwest wind of 16-25 mph with gusts of up to 38 mph.

The overnight low Monday was expected to be around 50 degrees, with a chilly high of only 57 degrees on Tuesday.

There was a 90 percent chance of showers during the day on Tuesday, with a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms that night. The overnight low was expected to be around 43 degrees.

Temperatures were expected to be significantly cooler for the rest of the week in Tucson than they were last week, when highs reached the 90s. Highs on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday were expected to be 72, 79 and 81 degrees, respectively, with sunny skies.
