Teen Arrested In 70-Year-Old Woman's Shooting Death: Police
Linda Marie Mendibles was shot to death in Tucson last October. The teen suspected of killing her was arrested Wednesday.
TUCSON, AZ — A teenager was arrested Wednesday for the shooting death last October of a 70-year-old woman, according to Tucson police.
Fabian Kristyan Montiel, 17, was arrested on suspicion of first degree murder, police said. He was being held in Pima County Jail on $1 million bond, as of Thursday, according to jail records.
Linda Marie Mendibles, 70, was found shot to death at the corner of West 18th Street and South Frontage Road the morning of Oct. 20, 2021, according to police.

Police eventually identified Montiel as the suspected shooter through numerous interviews, forensic evidence and after serving multiple search warrants, police said.
