'Top Chef' Finale Filmed At Tucson's El Charro Restaurant

The oldest continuously family-owned Mexican restaurant in the country is hosting several viewing parties on Thursday.

TUCSON, AZ — Tucsonans know that their city has a treasure-trove of culinary geniuses, but it's time for the rest of the world to find out.

Thursday's season finale of "Top Chef" was filmed in Tucson and features El Charro, which claims to be the oldest continuously family owned Mexican restaurant in the country.

The episode is set to air at 8 p.m. Thursday on Bravo, and El Charro is hosting watch parties at several of its locations. The episode is appropriately titled "Cactus Makes Perfect," and features the final four contestants facing off in cooking challenges using cactus as an ingredient.

According to a Facebook post from El Charro owner and chef Carlotta Flores, the Top Chef team spent a week in Tucson, filming at several spots throughout the area, including the downtown El Charro Cafe and Tanque Verde Ranch.

Seating for El Charro watch parties begins at 7 p.m., one hour ahead of the start of the show on Thursday. There will be specials on margaritas and beer during the watch party,
