Tucson Forecast To Hit 90 Degrees This week

Tucson typically hits the 90 degree mark by March 30, according to the National Weather Service.

TUCSON, AZ — It's the start of spring in Tucson, and that means temperatures are heating up.

Tucson is forecast to hit 91 degrees on Friday, the first time the area will hit 90 degrees in 2022. Temperatures are expected to remain warm over the weekend with a toasty high of 94 degrees on Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

Tucson normally hits 90 degrees by March 30, according to weather service averages from 1991 through 2020. The earliest date on record that the city hit that temperature was Feb. 14, 1957.

Tucson generally reaches 95 degrees by April 24 and 100 degrees by May 18, according to weather service records.

The week is expected to gradually heat up, with highs in the mid-70s on Tuesday and Wednesday and a high of 83 degrees on Thursday. Overnight lows are expected to be in the 40s for most of the week, heating up to the mid-50s Friday and Saturday night.
