Tucson Parade of Lights: Holiday Spirit, Road Closures Saturday
Tucson's 25th Annual Parade of Lights Saturday helps usher in the holiday season – and brings several road closures.

TUCSON, AZ — Downtown Tucson will sizzle with festive energy Saturday for the 25th Annual Parade of Lights, but the twinkling event also brings some road closures that visitors and residents should be aware of.
The Parade of Lights in Tucson helps usher in the holiday season and features live entertainment at Jacome Plaza from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. At 5:30 p.m. also at Jacome Plaza, the Mayor’s Tree Lighting Ceremony starts. The parade begins at 6:30 p.m. on Stone Avenue south of Toole Avenue, while the event’s Dancing Under the Lights: Santa Pachita activity starts at 7:30 p.m.
To support the Holiday of Lights and other Tucson activities on “Small Business Saturday” Nov. 30, the Tucson streetcar will run Saturday at 8 a.m. through Sunday at 2 a.m. free of charge to riders.

While bicycle and pedestrian access will be available near and on streets closed during the event, drivers should be aware of these Parade of Light road closures:

- 9th Avenue from Franklin Street to 6th Street
- Franklin Street from Stone Avenue to 9th Avenue
Closed from 3 to 9 p.m.:
- Pennington Street from Stone Avenue to Church Avenue
Closed from 5 to 9 p.m.:
- Stone Avenue from Congress Street to 6th Street
- Pennington Street from 6th Avenue to Stone Avenue
- 6th Avenue from 7th Street to Congress Street
- Toole Avenue from Stone Avenue to Congress Street
- Alameda Street from the main library garage exit to 6th Avenue
- Council Street from Stone Avenue to Church Avenue
- 7th Avenue from Toole Avenue to 7th Street
