Tucson Police Identify, Arrest Suspect In November Homicide
Marcos-Angelo Fimbres was arrested Dec. 11 in Tucson in connection with the November shooting death of Abdullahi Mohamed Abdullahi.

TUCSON, AZ — The Tucson Police Department reported Friday the identification and arrest of Marcos-Angelo Fimbres, 21, a suspect in the November shooting death of Abdullahi Mohamed Abdullahi, 19, in Tucson. Fimbres was arrested on Dec. 11 in the 1300 block of S. Van Buren Ave. with help from K9 units, Tucson Police SWAT and the police Operations Division East/Community Response Team. He is facing a murder charge and is locked up in the Pima County Jail.
The crime that Fimbres is accused of happened Nov. 16 about 3:30 a.m., when Tucson police Operations Division Midtown officers were called to the 2400 block of N. Loretta Drive on reports of a shooting. When officers arrived at the front yard of a house there, they found Abdullahi with gunshot wounds.
Abdullahi was medically administered to, but he died at the scene.

Tucson police detectives with the Gang and Homicide units continued the investigation on scene after the shooting. Information gathered indicated that a house party with young adults and teens was happening when a fight occurred outdoors. Gunshots were fired during the fight, and Abdullahi was struck. Police talked to witnesses after the shooting, as several had been outdoors when Abdullahi was shot. However, police say a few other witnesses left the home before officers could get to the scene.
Tucson police detectives are asking anyone who has information on this case to call 88-CRIME.
