Tucson School Covered In Spray-Painted Swastikas and Profanities

The Sonoran Science Academy was covered in hate-filled graffiti on Monday, the Pima County Sheriff's Department said.

TUCSON, AZ — A Tucson school was covered in spray-painted swastikas and profanities on Monday morning, officials said.

The Pima County Sheriff's Department said in a statement that its deputies were called to the Sonoran Science Academy on W. Sunset Road at 7:15 a.m. on Monday. When they arrived, the deputies discovered that several portions of the school had been spray-painted with profanities, swastikas and the phrase "white power."

The sheriff's department said its Criminal Investigations Division is investigating and actively searching for information that leads to arrests.

"We have zero-tolerance for this type of crime," the department said.

A spokesperson for Sonoran Science Academy did not immediately respond to Patch's request for comment.
