Areas in central Pima County and to the east have a higher chance of seeing severe weather activity, the NWS said.

TUCSON, AZ — The National Weather Service is forecasting a marginal chance for severe storms this afternoon and evening in central Pima County.
The NWS in Tucson says light to moderate rain is moving north through southern Arizona this morning, bringing a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Areas in central Pima County and to the east have a higher chance of seeing severe weather activity, the NWS said.

This afternoon, there is a 35 percent chance of rain in the Tucson metro.
Severe storms could bring hail, lightning, heavy rainfall, and wind gusts from 40-60 miles per hour.
