• Authorities identify 47-year-old Vail man who died in officer-involved shooting (kvoa.com) — A 47-year-old Vail resident was fatally shot by a Pima County sheriff’s deputy after an alleged domestic violence incident involving a gun late on Nov. 29. Investigators say the man reportedly fired a shot outside a home, then later advanced toward a deputy while drawing a handgun, prompting the shooting. No one else was injured, and a regional critical incident team is reviewing the case.
