Renovations Underway at Arkansas State Dining, Full-Service Chick-fil-A Coming Fall 2025

Long a staple at A-State, the location is undergoing renovation to offer expanded service, modern ordering options, and a refreshed space

Arkansas State University students will return to campus in Fall 2025 to find a major upgrade to one of their favorite dining spots: Chick-fil-A. Long a staple at A-State, the location is undergoing a full renovation to offer expanded service, modern ordering options, and a completely refreshed space.

The upgraded Chick-fil-A will become a full-service restaurant, marking a first for the campus. That means students, faculty, and staff can look forward to access to the full national menu, including breakfast items, specialty sides, and seasonal offerings. In addition to in-person ordering, the renovation will include self-service kiosks and mobile ordering to reduce wait times and improve convenience.

“Our students have always been loyal fans of Chick-fil-A,” said Rylee McCall, a spokesperson for A-State Dining powered by Sodexo. “We’re excited to enhance their experience with a full-service location that delivers more variety and easier access.”

Retail Operations Manager Justin Lewandowski added, “We are thrilled to be a part of bringing something new to Arkansas State University. Not only will students get to experience a brand-new restaurant, but also a modern ordering experience for Chick-fil-A. The 'tech-forward' concept will enhance the ordering experience by allowing students to place orders ahead of time through the Grubhub app on their phone or from self-ordering kiosks located around the restaurant. We are excited to see the positive influence this will have on our speed of service and order accuracy for all of our customers.”

The redesign is part of a broader effort to modernize campus dining and respond to student preferences. Construction will continue throughout the summer, with a grand reopening planned for the start of the fall semester.
