American Idol Alum Danny Gokey to Make Wishes Come True in Harrison
GRAMMY® nominee to host special event for "Three Wishes for Ruby's Residents" on Thursday 5/23

Better Than I Found It, the nonprofit organization founded by American Idol alum and three-time GRAMMY® nominee Danny Gokey, has announced their special “Bus Stop” Giveback event supporting the youth-led organization “Three Wishes for Ruby’s Residents,” providing roof repairs and kitchen renovations at the Three Wishes Community Center, along with gifts from Danny’s fans for the senior residents at the Springs of Harrison nursing home in Harrison, AR on Thursday 5/23.
“Wow, what an inspiration, Ruby is!” said Gokey. “A little girl saw a need that even many adults didn’t and committed to filling it. She’s a great example of being the hands and feet of Jesus. I can’t wait to surprise her and help her continue the mission.”
Three Wishes for Ruby’s Residents grants small wishes to seniors in long-term care (nursing homes, assisted living, and retirement homes) across the United States. Sixteen-year-old Ruby Chitsey, CEO and founder of “Three Wishes for Ruby’s Residents,” has been fulfilling wishes and raising awareness for nursing home seniors since 2018. Better Than I Found It will be providing much needed renovations to the Three Wishes Community Center, repairing the roof and renovating the kitchen, presenting gifts from Danny’s fans to the senior residents at the Springs of Harrison nursing home, as well as surprising Ruby, herself, with 3 wishes.
