You can browse the Victorian house’s indoor decor while donating supplies, then return in January for a Friday discussion series on the history and realities of human trafficking.
   

• New questions raised in Powell-Beallis case (nwahomepage.com) — Fort Smith Police previously ruled the 2012 shooting death of Shawna Beallis a suicide, but records show the case was quietly reopened in 2021 after new information surfaced. Now, following the recent deaths of Charity Beallis and her twin children in Sebastian County, questions are resurfacing about what investigators reviewed, what evidence was destroyed, and why Fort Smith authorities have not yet commented.
   

• UAFS Art & Design Programs Renew NASAD Accreditation (dosouthmag.com) — Students in Fort Smith’s UAFS Art & Design programs can count on nationally recognized degrees, as the university just renewed NASAD accreditation through the 2033–34 academic year. The department also plans expanded space through the Windgate Expansion, adding classrooms and collaboration areas to support studio art and graphic design.
