  1. Fort Smith Police Detective Chris George was arrested on Jun. 14 and faces misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and terroristic threatening. On May 29, George allegedly threatened to kill a man who he thought had relations with his wife. Another officer claimed George sounded intoxicated at the time. The Fort Smith Police Department placed George on paid leave. (4029 TV)
  2. The Fort Smith Police Department is searching for 68-year-old Mary Beth Armstrong from Wister, Okla., who was reported missing on Jun. 15. Armstrong was last seen leaving Baptist Health at 11:16 p.m. on Jun. 14. She is described as very thin with long gray/black hair. She was last seen wearing short light purple pajamas and eyeglasses.   3. The Fort Smith board directors approved a new $589,000 pavilion at John Bell Jr. Park. The approved cost to build the project includes the pavilion and dirt work, but not the concrete slab underneath. The 72-foot-long pavilion is expected to provide space for about 175-200 people for events. (Southwest Times Record)
