  1. Fort Smith Public Schools in Arkansas will hire an independent investigator to look into the leaks and flooding issues at the Peak Innovation Center, following a board meeting on Jun. 21. The school district aims to identify the cause of the leaks and find solutions for the facility. Additionally, the board discussed the resignation of former board president Dee Blackwell and is currently accepting applications for the vacant position until July 10. A new member is expected to be appointed by Jul. 17. (KNWA)
  2. Authorities in Sebastian County are on the lookout for registered sex offender Cameron Carlos Santana, who cut off his GPS tracking device and is evading his parole officer. The Sebastian County Sheriff's Office, along with Arkansas Parole and Probation, are actively involved in the search and are in the process of obtaining an arrest warrant. If Santana is spotted, local law enforcement should be contacted immediately. (4029tv)
  3. Four waste management workers from Fort Smith were honored by the local fire department for their heroic actions in saving an elderly woman during a house fire. The men quickly responded, moved the woman to safety, retrieved her oxygen tank, and called emergency services, earning them certificates of appreciation and special awards from the fire department.
