- A Fort Smith man has died after a motorcycle crash on Tuesday evening. Officials say 26-year-old Taylor Lee Fraley was killed in an accident on Highway 271 around 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening. The passengers in the other vehicle involved in the crash had no reported injuries. (4029 News)
- Mayor George McGill and several other Fort Smith city leaders joined lawmakers in Washington D.C. this week to discuss projects in the city. McGill and multiple members of the Fort Smith Board of Directors have been in the capital since Tuesday and have reportedly met with Senators John Boozman and Tom Cotton, among others. The city leaders plan to ask for funding to assist with a new 48-inch water transmission line. (4029 News)
- A teenager reported missing earlier this week has been safely located by Fort Smith police. The 13-year-old girl reportedly left her home on Roosevelt Road in the middle of the night on Wednesday. The Fort Smith Police Department reported early Thursday morning that she had been found safe and returned to her family. (Fort Smith Police Department via Facebook)
