• Fort Smith Trolley Museum asking for public's help restoring last operational trolley (4029tv.com) — Fort Smith’s last operational trolley, Car No. 224, is nearing its 100th birthday, and the Fort Smith Trolley Museum is asking residents for donations and volunteers to help restore it. The museum needs both skilled and unskilled helpers to repair original parts so the trolley can keep giving historic rides around town. Donation forms are available at the museum and soon online.
   

• UAFS men improve to 10-0 with win at River City Holiday Classic (rivervalleydemocratgazette.com) — UAFS men’s basketball, representing Fort Smith, stayed perfect at 10-0 after its deep bench powered a 78-64 win over UT-Permian Basin at the River City Holiday Classic in San Antonio. Kanaan Holder and VJ Reeves led a dominant performance that showcased the Lions’ depth, shooting, and rebounding before they wrap nonconference play Sunday at Drury.
