(actionnews5.com) — A Helena-West Helena 4-year-old who was shot in a car this summer remains hospitalized and unable to walk, though his mother says he is improving with intensive rehab in Chicago. She hopes to return home by Christmas, is seeking a costly therapeutic bike to aid his recovery, and is still calling for justice from local police. 
• Suspect guilty of capital murder in AR officer's death (wreg.com) — A jury has found Latarius Howard guilty of capital murder in the 2020 killing of Helena-West Helena Police Officer Travis Wallace, who was shot after confronting a suspect at the Delta Inn on Highway 49. The case, which began with an earlier shooting in West Helena, ended with Howard’s capture in Mississippi and now a conviction important to local law enforcement and residents.
