Suspect In Shooting Of ADC Officer Identified: Police
Police are searching for an armed man who they say shot an Arkansas Department of Corrections officer near Maumelle on Monday.
MAUMELLE, AR — Police have identified the suspect who they say shot and killed an Arkansas Department of Corrections officer in Maumelle on Monday.
Police are searching for Demark Lee Jordan in the Maumelle area following the shooting death of Sgt. Joshua Caudell on Monday morning on Overstreet Road, according to authorities.
Jordan, 37, is a Black man who is approximately 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighing about 145 pounds. He might be driving a grey 2012 GMC Sierra pickup truck with the license plate number 345YNJ, authorities said.

Three Maumelle public schools were on lockdown Monday at the recommendation of the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office as authorities searched for Jordan, according to a statement from the Pulaski County Special School District.
Pine Forest Elementary School, Maumelle Middle School and Maumelle High School remained on lockdown throughout Monday and were released at normal hours with extra security present at the schools, the district said.
