• Monette sales tax funding major infrastructure improvements (kait8.com) — Monette’s 1% sales tax is actively paying for three big upgrades: a new fire station, renovated baseball and softball complexes, and a planned community building. City leaders say these projects will both improve life for current residents and help attract more people to town, and the “sunshine” tax will end once everything is fully paid off.
