• Texas Man Sentenced In 2024 Armed Pocahontas Standoff (imbodenlive.com) — A Texas man has been sentenced to 10 years in state prison for his role in an August 2024 armed standoff at the Murphy USA gas station on Highway 67 in Pocahontas. Local police and Randolph County deputies contained the situation after reports of a weapon being brandished and fired, and no injuries were reported.
