• Three more charged in connection with former Crawford County library board member's alleged plot to kidnap daughter (fox16.com) — Van Buren residents are at the center of a disturbing alleged kidnapping scheme involving a former Crawford County library board member and her adult daughter, who has disabilities. Prosecutors say three others from Van Buren and Fort Smith face the same felony charges, and all four have pleaded not guilty and are out on bond under no-contact orders.
