CA Man Survives 1,000-Foot Fall While Hiking In Hawaii
Ian Snyder was trapped for three days after the fall, authorities said, but he is now recovering.

OʻAHU, HI — A California man is alive and recovering after he fell 1,000 feet while hiking in Hawaii and was rescued three days later, according to authorities.
Ian Snyder, 34, suffered wounds including a black eye, head lacerations and a broken arm, NBC News reported.
Snyder was found about 1,000 feet below a trail on Oʻahu, according to the Honolulu Fire Department, which reported he was discovered during an air search Dec. 7 after he was reported missing Dec. 4.

Snyder had dragged himself to the base of a waterfall so he could drink while he was stranded, he told NBC News.
"It's a miracle, first and foremost, of God,” he told the outlet.
